"While Raysse (born in 1936) was inspired by Andy Warhol’s approach during the 1960s – leading him to incorporate neon lights and film into his paintings – he distanced himself from this work during his experimental ‘shamanic’ period, finding a sort of personal mythology during the 80s. With over 200 works, this exhibition should attract attention to a rich and varied career that, overall, remains too little appreciated." (© Time Out, Paris)
